Dixon Leads Qualifying at NHRA Atlanta

COMMERCE, Ga. (AP) Larry Dixon qualified first in Top Fuel on Saturday at the NHRA Southern Nationals.

Dixon's run at 316.08 mph in 3.822 seconds put him atop the category heading into Sunday's eliminations, seeking his fourth win at Atlanta Dragway.

Ashley Force Hood qualified first in Funny Car with a pass of 4.104 seconds at 304.60 in a Ford Mustang.

In Pro Stock, Allen Johnson finished first with a 208.23 in 6.634 seconds.

Hector Arana leads Pro Stock Motorcycle after going 193.96 mph in 6.913 seconds.
