Keywords:ATLANTA (AP) Atlanta's landmark Clermont Hotel is on the market.
The six-story building built on a Midtown stretch of Ponce De Leon Avenue in 1924 was initially an apartment building. Atlanta lore has it that the building eventually converted to a hotel once was home to gangster Al Capone.
The downstairs Clermont Lounge is known as a place for young patrons to watch overweight, older dancers.
Franklin Street Financial Partners' Jake Reid says the building is in a great location.
In a release Tuesday, Franklin Street says the building's 126 units could be converted to apartment, office or rental space.
