Falcons Sign 5th-Round Pick Kerry Meier

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) First-round pick Sean Weatherspoon of Missouri is the Atlanta Falcons' only unsigned draft pick after the team signed wide receiver Kerry Meier.

Meier, from Kansas, was Atlanta's fifth-round pick. The 6-foot-3, 222-pound Meier had a school-record 226 career catches at Kansas.

The Falcons also have signed their two third-round picks, defensive tackle Corey Peters and offensive guard Mike Johnson, as well as center Joe Hawley, cornerback Dominique Franks and safety Shann Schillinger.

Terms of Meier's deal were not released.
