Man Wanted in DeKalb Killing Arrested in Calif.

Published July 18, 2010 at 8:51 a.m.

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) Authorities say a man wanted for a killing in DeKalb County is in jail in California.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that 42-year-old Mark Rudolph Reed is being held without bond in Los Angeles and is scheduled to be extradited to DeKalb County.

DeKalb police Officer Jason Gagnon says Reed is wanted on a murder warrant in the 2007 death of Marlon Greene.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says Reed was arrested July 10.

A DeKalb police report indicates that investigators got a call last year from police in California who said a woman told them that Reed had killed an Atlanta man and buried him in Ellenwood.

Gagnon says Reed was indicted after DeKalb investigators flew to California and interviewed the woman.
