Everybody Loves the Stardust

The multi-talented Seu Jorge gained American audience's attention in 2004 with his brilliant Portuguese covers of David Bowie hits for The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. These days he's been covering the work of another musical pioneer, composer Roy Ayers...Above, watch Seu Jorge and Brazilian collective Grooveria perform Ayers' Running Away, and check out his latest release, a cover of Everybody Loves the Sunshine after the jump.

Jorge has formed a Brazilian supergroup of sorts with his band Almaz, featuring members of the Samba-rock coalition Nação Zumbi...Seu Jorge and Almaz play Atlanta's Variety Playhouse on Sunday, July 25th.
