Lilith Fair concert dropped at Lakewood Amphitheatre

It’s becoming the summer of canceled concerts.

Now the Lilith Fair date at Aaron’s Lakewood Amphitheatre August 8 has been nixed, presumably due to poor sales. Dates around the country have been cut as acts such as Norah Jones and Kelly Clarkson have bailed.

Locally, acts that would have been here included Sarah McLachlan (the creator of the concept back in the 1990s), Indigo Girls, Loretta Lynn, Corinne Bailey Rae and Courtyard Hounds.

You can get refunds at point of sale.

Sarah McLachlan will do a date at Chastain Amphitheatre instead on August 5. From the press release:

Patrons who previously purchased tickets for Lilith Fair @ Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for the new show prior to the general public on-sale on July 17th @ 10AM. This presale will run Wednesday, July 14th @ 10AM – July 16th @ 6PM
